Bitdefender is the most reliable antivirus software. It has a high malware detection score, low pricing, and a broad array of features. It may slow down PCs while scanning, however, which is a drawback for gamers and users who use their PC for work. Kaspersky has a lesser impact on performance of the system. In Tom’s Guide tests, it completed an Excel benchmark in 10.4 seconds using an ordinary antivirus, compared to 13.8 seconds with Bitdefender and 26.5 percent slower than the baseline.

Both programs earned top quality product certificates for their superior performance in AV-TEST Institute’s latest tests of Windows 10 security suites. While the detection rates were essentially identical, Kaspersky recorded just one false positive in November/December and September/October, while Bitdefender detected 12 of these errors.

Kaspersky is a step ahead of other security software when it comes to network protection. It comes with more advanced tools, such as port scanning defense that automatically blocks the holes hackers make to gain access to your computer. It also includes the best anti-theft function of all tested products, which lets you ring your stolen mobile phone or locate it on a map. It also has an exclusive feature called “Profiles” which allows you to set up your computer according to a certain task to modify its settings and resources. Bitdefender offers a more well-organized interface and has a simpler layout, but it’s not equipped with this tool.
